KIRBY LITTERICK MAKES THE NSW STATE METROPOLITAN SOCCER TEAM

Our very own 'home grown' Kirby Litterick has done herself and us proud.  Kirby has just been selected to play in the New South Wales State Soccer team.  Kirby has been part of the Umina Soccer Club for a very long time and she will be taking part in the Australian titles which are to held at Parklea from Monday 11th April through to Saturday 16th April.  Kirby's team and she will be competing against teams from ACT, Victoria Metropolitan, Victoria Country, NSW Country and Mainland New Zealand.  We will hopefully have some more info for you on her soccer career.

ANOTHER STATE CHAMPION - and all that Jazz!

Another champion in our midst, Jarrod ‘Jazz’ Marsh from our 15B team has just won the New South Wales State Outrigger Canoe Championship for OC1 (singles) in the Under 16's Division.  The Outrigger Canoe Racing Association held their state titles at Five Islands, Woolongong on the New South Wales south coast on 23 and 24 April.  Jarrod backed up in the OC6 race (6 man crew) where his team placed 3rd overall.

Jarrod now has he sights set on the Australian Championships which are being held at Gunamatta Bay, Cronulla on 12 and 13 May.

Not a bad effort for a full back!  Well done Jarrod.

JUNIOR PRESENTATION - UNDER 5 TO UNDER 16's
The junior presentation went off brilliantly on Sunday, 9th October with heaps of smiles from the little ones and a couple of mums and dads with faces full of fairy floss (brings back the memories doesn't it)  Although it was a tad windy and brisk the sun shined, it didn't rain and all had a great time.  All the rides were there and it was nice to see the adults having a bit of a go as well.  The table loads of shiny trophies were the centre of attention as eager little hands edged closer and closer.  All in all a great day.
The Mars Fundraiser lucky winner of a 51cm LG Flatron Television was Jacob Clement from our 10A's, his smile said it all.  The Sony Playstation II prize for the most number of boxes of mars chocolates sold went to Jamie-Lee Rainbow, who sold an incredible amount of 19 boxes.  Katie Tulk came in second with 15 boxes of mars.  Funny enough both girls came from the same team, W14C.  This is a fantastic effort overall, well done ladies.
